Top Ten Threats to Christianity

08 October 2012, 11:48

Biblical Christianity is under a serious attack from many fronts, and sorry, but it needs to be defended. Some of satan’s attacks are obvious and some are sly and devious. All of them are deadly and threaten True Christianity. This is what I think they are:

TEN: Apathy- so many people just think it is okay to be AGNOSTIC, and hope that if there is a merciful God he will make himself known to us. The good news is that there is a merciful God, but he requires you take the first step. Do not drift into the dreamy world of agnosticism lest you come a dismal cropper.

NINE: Consumerism- this is of course GREED and we live in the ‘now’ generation. Everyone wants instant gratification, forgetting about while we are here in the first place: to give ourselves to God.

EIGHT: Pornography & Homosexuality -These two twins go hand in hand and have been made worse because of the internet. And have you noticed how gays are suddenly allowed to get married? I’m sorry, but I'll say no more, except that there are over over 4 million porno sites.

SEVEN: Catholics- When the so called leader of a the ‘mother church’ presides over men that fondle children it literally makes me sick. Until the Catholic church insists on ONLY married men as priests, I am afraid no one will ever take them seriously.

SIX: Muslims - They do not allow Christianity in their countries and have no women’s rights. They have caused the Western world to be constantly looking over their shoulders, and in short, have ruined innocence as we used to know it. They are spoiling things for the rest of us.

FIVE: CosPlay- It sounds like a cute child’s game, but Costume Play is a dangerous past-time whereby children are dressed up as Mr T, Harry Potter and even Lady Gagga. It all seems harmless but what happens when this children grow up? They associate these characters as role-models and take their eyes off the Lord.

FOUR: Sophistry- This is a very grave threat when mixed with Scripture because it tries to  rationalise sin. This dilutes Scripture and leads to lukewarm living. Like Apathy, it causes many people to end up in hell.

THREE: Spare the rod- The root cause of today’s dysfunctional youth, caused by banning canning at school. Just read some of the comments on this website and you will see that my point is proved.

TWO: Internet- A very, very dangerous thing. This so called ‘abundance’ of ‘knowledge’ leads to the wrong sort of skepticism that sees everything in black and white when actually ours is a wonderful world of colour. Suddenly everyone is able to google and pick verses from the Bible to take them out of context.  This is especially dangerous for our impressionable youth. In the past, if Christians did not save their youth by 18 years of age, the chances of doing so diminished. Now, unfortunately, that age has been reduced to 12 years.

ONE: Atheists- More dangerous than the agnostics by far, these people have been claimed by the devil and are mostly beyond saving. They openly ridicule our Lord and actually I have stopped feeling sorry for them. The problem is that they use any method of sly argument to keep innocent people from opening their hearts to the Lord. Visit this website often enough and you will see that I am totally right about them.
