Bring it on! I have called you by name now, so do what you love to do! Or do you now all of a sudden feel that you would rather be quiet for a change? Mock me! Do it!
Of course it is you that think you are better than the rest of us; that has the perfect response for any theory that may be raised regarding anything under the sun! No, you wouldn’t just give a thumbs-down: you would rather give your two cents’ worth… as if it was even worth that much!
I wonder sometimes whether News24 employs trolls and haters to stimulate debate and “rouse the rabble” so to speak. There are some people that seem to have had some seriously bad coffee most mornings; or be on a baked-bean cleansing diet for indefinite periods!
Strangest is that they often “seem” to be some kind of expert in a professional field (sometimes I would suspect expert in smoking wacky weed in a field!); calling themselves things that attract respect, and showing us what opinionated snobs they really are.
Then you get the (so not) black stirrers. We have all seen these. Calling themselves things that do not at all attract respect, but insinuate that they are non-white, these trolls put in their comments seemingly to see how many “thumbs down” they can accumulate. Of course it is also true that these trolls harm the reputation of a site such as this, and of the people that read articles here… yes… you! Oh, and now I need to add the customary apology that I mentioned an issue to do with a specific race being less intelligent than another? Read it again: I did not make any such insinuation.
And to get more attention from the haters, let us put in something that is anti-woman, or anti-gay, or anti-religion. That’s right… I’m anti-BEE and I’m anti-AA, so let us draw some hate from those quarters as well. Call me a racist why don’t ya!
News24 is a great site, to be honest, but it’s all about news: bad news; good news; who really gives a flying … erm… hoot? It’s the controversy that stimulates readership of any newspaper, and even more so an online news site. News24 even gives “Noddy Badges” for the amount of controversy we stimulate in these articles. Personally I try to keep focus on the story rather than the comments. But in this case… I’m waiting! ;-)
