Two Great South African Presidents

02 April 2014, 07:18

Most of us get a warm fuzzy feeling when we think of your former president and international icon Nelson Mandela.  He was a great man and who will ever forget his 80th birthday gift to the nation?  I am certain few can even remember the event but I will remind the reader about this momentous occasion.  He decided to give the nation a gift and let thousands of criminals out on parole.  During the same weeks three family members of mine was brutally murdered.  So forgive me if I don’t see this international icon in quite the same light as the rest of the world.

Then Jacob Zuma repeated a similar miraculous feet by spending over R250 million on security upgrades at this compound down in KwaZulu-Natal.  While he is playing ignorance another family member was killed on a farm near Ermelo on Monday.

So thank you to you all for committing yourself to the constitution and executing your responsibilities as presidents and protect the rights of the people of this lovely rainbow nation.
