UFOs: are they real? And why are governments hiding it?

18 February 2013, 07:31

A UN report states that there have been over 150 million UFO sightings since 1947 and over 20 thousand documented landings. Why have governments been covering the facts up? What can they possibly gain from doing so and what is their secret?

One has to look back to our illustrious history to begin to find an explanation. When Western Man discovered the Chinese invention of gunpowder he promptly built a bomb. When he invented TNT he built a bigger, new and improved bomb. When he discovered the power of the atom, he improved on the previous improvement by building an even bigger bomb and punctually used it. It is all but clear what Man will do when he discovers an energy of even greater power. Moreover, who gets it first would swing the balance of power significantly.

Imagine having a weapons platform so powerful that it renders the user practically invulnerable to the conventional weapons of an opposing force. This is an advantage that would be well worth investing in. The premise is that the use of said power source for peaceful means is regarded to be secondary to the usefulness of it for military means.

Then there are the religious fanatics who believe that any proof of extra-terrestrial life would invalidate their holy books. This is a question that has been taken seriously by numerous researchers and several articles about this subject has been posted in several reputable publications. The Hufffington Post has carried several, more liberal articles on this subject where they expressed the views of researchers that organized religion would survive.

Fundamentalists however seem reluctant to entertain such a thought. On conservapedia.com the question takes on a whole different meaning and there the argument seems to be whether these “creatures” would have part of the salvation of the Christian Christ. Although they claim that extra-terrestrial life is the stuff of science fiction, they nevertheless feel the need to leave a back-door open by referring to John 10:16, quoted here for convenience of reference: I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. Here it is discernibly the speech of Jesus, the main deity of the Christians.

This, they say, opens the way for the possibility of sentient beings existing elsewhere. However when one reads between the lines then it is clear that the authors of conservapedia.com are terrified by the notion of sentient extra-terrestrial life and in stead prefer to refer to extra-terrestrial life in terms of micro-organisms. Although they present the possibility of extra-terrestrial life, they equate the view that sentient ETs do exist to heresy and categorize it with non-Christian views.

Despite the mumblings of the powerful religious lobby, proof of ET existence would have profound effects on them and may very well pose a threat to civil order. It is therefore safe to assume that the Christian lobby would be well-served if certain knowledge of ETs is withheld from them and hence the entire population of the Planet.

The reasonable among you may now ask: ja well now fine; but do these things actually exist?

When one or two persons claim to have seen an Unidentified Flying Object then it is easy to disqualify. But what if the same phenomenon is seen, photographed and filmed by thousands?

On the 11th of July, 1991, such an event happened over the world’s largest city; Mexico City. On that day thousands of citizens were watching the sky in the hope of catching a glimpse of the solar eclipse. What they saw, however, were formations of metallic objects, zipping across the sky at unbelievable pace and performing impossible stunts. This is one of the most well-known mass sightings where objects flew through the sky under what appeared to be intelligent control. As far as we know none of the Earth powers have access to technology that would enable these feats.

It is worth mentioning that any Earth power that possesses such technology would be able to balance the forces of gravity with an external source and that such a technology would be tremendously useful for peaceful means – such as the construction of buildings. This would give the user a competitive advantage and that the commercial benefits alone would be incalculable.

On the 28th of December, 1980, Colonel James Holt and his men encountered a UFO in Rendelsham Forest, just outside of RAF Woodbridge in Suffolk, England. He recorded the events of that night on his handheld voice recorder. His report and testimony along with those of his men were subsequently debunked by the US Military and they were told that they saw a distant lighthouse. It is a shame that any government would cause the ridicule of an officer in such a fashion.

In the final analysis it appears that the existence of ET and its technology is secreted for two main reasons: the religious lobby and for military power. The possibility that these forces could be harnessed for peaceful means and to the benefit of mankind and that it is not being done makes me angry.

We, citizens of this mud ball we call Earth, have lost control of our destiny through our democratically elected governments. Because we have abdicated our accountability we are at the mercy of war-mongers whose only objective it is to acquire more power. Far be it from them to seek peace, prosperity and co-existence. It is our duty to end this anarchy and to seek a new way forward for our civilization.
