US lured into invading Syria

22 March 2013, 15:02

With the Syrian civil war in a stalemate and the West getting increasingly desperate, the recent turn of events was to be expected. They never expected the ‘revolution’ to drag this long. The coup d’état in Libya made them overly confident and they are now resorting to desperate measures to ensure that the rebels attain their (the West) objective. In fact they have lost confidence in the abilities of the rebels and want an excuse for an invasion.

France and Britain have been lobbying the UN to relax the arms embargo on Syria so that they can supply the rebels with advanced weaponry to tilt the balance of military power currently favouring the besieged regime. Several EU member states are reluctant to endorse such a move and this has left the two countries with no option but to try to force the US to actively enter the fray.

Obama has in the past mentioned that his ‘red line’ will be the deployment of chemical weapons by Assad and some might call it a coincidence that it has been reported that chemical weapons have been deployed in the town of Alleppo with both the rebels and the Assad regime asking the UN to investigate and find out who is responsible.

With neither side claiming responsibility so who deployed the chemical weapons?

Was it Mossad, the Israeli spy agency?  Israel has just a week before announced that Syria; which has a huge stockpile of these banned weapons is planning to attack the rebels with chemical weapons. Was Israel preparing the world for this situation that when it happens the world can say Israel told us so and point the finger at Syria.

Was it MI6, the British military intelligence? Is Britain trying to force an invasion by convincing the world that Syria has crossed the Obama’s ‘red line’?

It is no secret that Syria is teeming with foreign spies with the CIA, Mossad, and MI6 providing varying degrees of assistance to the rebels and the FSB, Russian spy agency providing same to Assad.

It has now become clear that this is no ordinary civil war; it is a proxy war as was the Korean War. It is the Syrian people who are bearing the brunt of this war for world domination.

The UN has blamed Syria for killing its own people; let us not forget that Syria was a peaceful country until a bunch of power-hungry Western funded rebels declared war on the state under the guise of peaceful protests. Why are the rebels not asking for political reforms and for elections to be held with the aim of according the Syrian people of a chance to make their voices heard? No the rebels and their Western backers know very well that they will be defeated in elections and it is easier for them to assume power through the barrel of a gun. What happened to Western democracy that they harp about every day?

The West is abusing its political, economic and military hegemony to impose its will upon the poorer weak nations of the world. It acts with impunity with no fear of repercussions with those who dare defy it subjugated to damaging sanctions and a date with the ICC to mete out justice as defined by these powers.

The UN is nothing but an instrument by which the West imposes its will on the world and it cannot be relied upon to offer respite to the Syrian people.
