Unemployment problem solved

20 March 2013, 15:00

We have 15 million people getting grants in this country. There are 1.4 million Tax payers and a population of 50 million. Of these employed 200 thousand work for the government.

The big industries are seen as the monsters firing thousands each year in an effort to remain profitable. The unions demand massive pay increases and it results in more job losses as companies reduce staff to compensate for the increased wage bill.

If the government had any interest in solving the problem they would firstly reduce the money they waste on traveling, lunches and such crap as well as fire all those who fail to produce results. They would then start massive training facilities to educate a few million people in all forms of technical fields. These new buildings would require people to build and educators to teach in. The students could get a free education with a job on completion. The massive workforce would then be used to maintain and build more facilities until a breakeven is reached in a few years. The people now having a profession would be encouraged to start their own companies providing additional services as required. Massive solar plants need to be built but instead of paying some international firm for it we should do it in-house even if it take twice as long and cost double the amount the benefit is the people will be employed and able to earn a living. There own tax would be put back into the system curbing some of the costs instead of being lost to foreign companies. The government grants must be abolished entirely and those people can only claim money if they provide a service. If you are 16 and fall pregnant then your husband should support you if he is dead then get a job.

Higher Education is a privilege and should be free for those who pass grade 12 with suitable marks. The rest must join one of the government training programs till they become productive. Those same leaches draining our economy can attend these facilities and become employable.

The massive amounts of un-used land can be converted into farmland or turned into factories to produce all the imported stuff locally. No more low cost housing. Instead of massive areas with a few small houses wasting resources apartment blocks should be built with more people in a smaller area it is easier to provide all they need in one area. Taxi drivers will hate this but trains from these areas to places of work should be free and planed so as to reduce wastage.

To run this massive project would require many additional government employees but the big secret to any such endeavor is that only competent people can get the jobs. Now you might think this is all good and well but the cost would be massive and totally impossible but the truth is that if everyone who is employed pays tax and if the prez with all his cronies are kept here running the country instead of buying more ships and crap we don’t need we will have the funds to start it. Remember the salaries of these people must be paid for by their own productivity. Their income will be based on their skill, their food and housing will be provided by their own hands. If everyone works then everyone benefits.

Some people will always be unemployed no matter what as they don’t want to work. If these people loose all their rights and perks they will change their minds. Criminals will also be put to work in manners appropriate to their skill so as to cover the cost of their incarceration.

Those who are old or no longer able to work will be provided with a pension in the form of medical, food and accommodation but not money. If they want extra money they need to get a job teaching. Retirement age will only be based on your health as some people are able to work till they are 70 while others burn out at 55.

Those who are ill and unable to work fall into the same category.
