I don’t quite know how it happens and who’s responsible, but it seems someone is determined to delete my posts. This is the fourth time I’m posting this rebuttal. I am being accused of lying, amongst other things and, quite simply, what the atheists on this forum think of me means less than nothing, so if they call me a liar, it’s because it’s all they have.
Some people, however, have asked me to substantiate or retract a statement I made regarding smallpox and its eradication and subsequent reappearance. I mistakenly posted a link to an anti-vaccine site I believed to be connected to the WHO.
I have tried to post this link four times, unsuccessfully, so I’m now posting it as part of a short article. I am a firm believer in the power and efficacy of vaccinations and how they eradicated smallpox and polio. My generation all bore the scars on our upper arms as evidence of the smallpox vaccination. The polio vaccine was oral, and we were so poor at the time that we considered them as sweets.
I expect there will be the usual diatribe that passes for debate amongst the atheists on this forum. Nevertheless, here is the link I tried to post to show that smallpox is making a comeback. Mandatory vaccinations were stopped in 1979, as the disease was thought to be eradicated. However, as the article will show, it’s rearing its ugly head again.
You’ll no doubt notice that this is not some anti-vaccine nut. Neither am I.
