Vote of no confidence in SA government

08 March 2014, 10:57
If any year goes down in history, 2014 is going to be it. As of writing this article 7000 South Africans have signed a vote of no confidence in the South African Government, Parliament and the political class that simply is not listening to the people.

A Vote of No Confidence is a statement or vote which states that a person in a superior position is no longer deemed fit to hold that position.

The campaign to collect the peoples names who stand by a Vote of No Confidence has recently gone online in the form of an Avaaz campaign and a facebook group to further its reach into the South African society. Up until now signatures have been collected by knocking door to door.

From the avaaz campaign:

There are many things wrong in South Africa and very few people have the solutions. The bottom line however is that we simply can not fix the problems we face in our society today through the current political, legal and economic systems we have in place.

One of the most critical issues at hand is the encumbering debt burdens the political class have irresponsibly imposed upon the people in conjunction with the debt monetary system they make no effort to remove. While the people have petitioned Parliament for a more sensible means of exchange, the peoples voices have been ignored.

Therefore we are petitioning the people of South Africa to take a stand and to sign our "Memorandum for a Vote of No Confidence" in Parliament, the South African Government as well as the current political and legal structures.

We ask you to sign our Vote of No Confidence so that the people may start the process of public enquiries and independent tribunals which will serve as a pre-cursor to various referendums on critical points that will form a new foundation for the future of our society.

By signing this digital petition you consent to have your name counted as a "Vote of No Confidence".

I must be honest, I have put my name down. I personally see no future in the current systems of government and I see no future for the people of South Africa if we continue to use debt systems and allow a political class to irresponsibly encumber us with overwhelming debt burdens.

Personally I would like to add the current legal systems that protect the banking institutions to the Vote of No Confidence role...

Make your vote count!
