WSP
Africa, consulting engineers for the built and natural environment, in
association with Jo’burg Child Welfare (JWC) will be hosting their fifth Annual
Charity Golf Day on the 23rd February at the Observatory Golf Club
in Johannesburg.
JCW
is driven by the belief that every human being deserves a childhood free from
abuse and neglect. For over 100 years JCW has assisted children who have been
abused, abandoned, neglected, consented for adoption, orphaned or made
vulnerable (including the many who are infected with or have been affected by
HIV and AIDS).
The
organisation has invited SA’s top business leaders to explore the networking
aspect of the event, but also reflect on the plight of SA children going
through difficult times.
“The
charity golf day is one of our most anticipated events on our annual
fundraising calendar. The response has been phenomenal and a true
reflection that SA businesses have their hearts set in the right place.
We are eternally grateful for everyone’s support especially WSP,” said Lyn
Perry, Director at JCW.
Funds
raised will go towards assisting in providing supplies from the organisations ‘wish
list’, which includes but not limited to disposable nappies, children’s feeding
formulas, stationery and non-perishable foods.
WSP
would like to take the opportunity to thank clients and other industry players
that have showed their loyalty in supporting this great initiative.
