'We are all corrupt'

03 July 2013, 07:22
Many people define corruption as a "crime committed by higher ranked people in government" or tenderpreneurs. Corruption is a waste of taxpayers money and lives tax payers stranded without quality services or no services at all. Corruption is corruption no matter how small it may look or be justified. Taking stationery as little as a pencil in the office to buying/selling a job or  bribing a traffic officer in order to avoid a fine.

Fingers are always pointing tenderpreneurs and government officials, "small" corruption is corruption. Corruption involves money and once entangled in such an activity it is never easy to set self free. People risk good jobs for a small amount of money due to corruption sometimes even less than R200, putting families in danger because of greed.

The "innocent" are buying/selling learners and drivers licence/s, Identity documents, jobs, RDP houses, free access in and out of border posts......etc. "We" are all corrupt, funny enough,  there are well known individuals and departments corrupt to the core, yet nothing is done to such. Most people enjoy having or being the so called "'connections'", not following correct channels to get anything..

Corruption of any sort should not be encouraged in any manner and must therefore be reported. by not stopping corruption our country will be affected negatively in future.
