We must not enslave ourselves.
Please, take it seriously. Unless we long for a Swaziland or Zimbabwe hierarchy of dependence and suppression by rulers who couldn’t care less because they are kept in power by so-called dignity and tradition protected by laws they themselves have implemented.
Dignity is fine but not if it is used as a political ploy to avoid scrutiny and to manipulate the state institutions and emotions for self-gain.
Seriously.
There are far more important matters that require attention than some painting hanging in a gallery which nobody except a few individuals paid attention to until it was sensationalized by the very parties who are suspected of the same Zimbabwean/Swaziland syndromes and who have really serious problems in terms of real delivery to the people of this country. Let's not duck from calling a spade a spade. MANY other suspicions as well in the pipeline.
Now we are being threatened by the dignity police. Appointed and supported by?
Frankly, if the subject of the painting had not behaved as is confirmed by the public record the painting would not have materialized. But it has. And now we see the opportunism taking over ro use it against the rest of us.
This is all part of the tactic to protect the clique against scrutiny in future and to push through legislation to the effect.
