As a world famous and award winning Nurse I have been fortunate enough to travel the world and assist many, many patients. What strikes me the most upon returning to South Africa is the alarming number of disgruntled people roaming the streets and suburbs of this country.
There is always something for the average South African to moan about - the ANC, e-tolls, crime and so on. If you are unfortunate enough to attend a braai or party you will be inundated with negative stories and/or consistent whinging about the state of the nation.
Yes, some things are bad. Yes, life could be better. Yes, life is not fair. However sometimes you just need to rise above your circumstances and DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE.
So don't be disgruntled, be the opposite, GRUNTLED. Yes, that is a word, look it up if you don't believe me. Count you blessings and try to make this country a better place to live in. A change in attitude takes time but it is a worthwhile investment in your own happiness.
Till next time... Yours in health
