Further to the comments made in his speech to the traditional leaders by our great breeder – I’m sorry that should of course be our great leader – with regard to his assertion that South Africa is not a violent country, there is one thing which has now become glaringly obvious.
Our President does not live in the real world, given the ludicrous assertions he made, including blaming apartheid – again. Surely this has to mean that he has lost all credibility as the leader of our country. To repeat the words of a fellow writer, where have you been for the last 10 years Mr President? Life must be wonderful behind the high walls and over-the-top security which you have access to (thanks to all of us, the abused taxpayers), and of course not forgetting the wonderful and obscenely expensive ‘key point’ of Nkandla.
Is there nothing which can rid this wonderful country of such a woeful excuse of a leader? Ah yes of course, that would mean voting ‘against the heart and history’. Please wake up people - history is happening every day, we just haven’t seen it written in any books yet. What will those books say about this shameful and devastating period in South Africa’s history?
Again – still – my heart breaks.
