Were do you go to my lovely when your sick in your bed

24 October 2012, 08:33

Being single for the first time in my life (35) I have come to appreciate the difference to what it is to be in a relationship and being single, now both status’s have a up side and a downside.

The up side to be single: Well you can pretty much do anything at home, you can leave your laundry on the floor, leave the toilet seat up, wash the dishes the next day ,watch what you want to on TV and then there is you can go out anytime you want and then meat and be friends with who ever you want.

Then there is the down side of loneliness, constant companionship that is not there (love) and of course being taken care of by your companion, so imagine being single at home alone and then a illness hits you, who do you turn to? Well supposedly it would be your friends.

Amazingly  a wile ago this happened to one of my single friends, now this happened before I met her, but she told me the story , when I had flue and since then , I have always checked up on ill friends

She had flu and she went to see the doctor, he gave her a prescription and send her of to bed, when she got home she had a meal,  a dose as described and then went to bed, she woke up two day later , because the had a reaction to one of the medicines that the doctor gave her, that sad thing is that no one , not even her friends ,knew about it , so no one checked on her , on her cell she had one missed call from her mom who called the day she woke up.

Now anything could have happened to her and her because she didn’t tell her friends about her being ill she could even have died, this would have been terrible and I can’t think anything worse

So what is the moral of the story, if you are single and alone in life and you do get ill, tell someone to come and check in. you don’t want to end up like my friend did
