So the Oscar trial has been going on, and what amazes me is the interest it has gained.
I feel for all parties, both on the Reeva camp and the Oscar camp.
Reeva, was after all a person in her own right, before she became the "girlfriend of Oscar who was shot" and still has family that have to endure all the jokes and comments. It doesn't just hurt the Pistorius family, but them too.
Then, of course there is the Pistorius family who need to stand strong for their loved one, going through this difficult time.
The other side of this is that this trial seems to detract from other important events happening: the plane that went missing or the war that might or might not break out in the Ukraine.
It just makes me wonder what type of society we live in where the fate of one person seems more important than the lives of people who are in more danger via the threat of war.
