I feel that I should thank SANRAL for making me a political activist. I am a second-generation emigrant to this country, which I feel makes me as South African as the rest of people living in SA. Until recently, I tried to stay away from political topics, but thanks to SANRAL I am being forced like so many other citizens to take the stand. It makes me so disappointed in our government that while driving through our cities on almost every corner we see people begging to survive, while our President spends 206 million on his private residence. I feel the reality of the elections in South Africa is that we still vote by the color (wonder what would happened if suddenly we all would be color-blind?) most of the whites will vote for anybody but black, and blacks will vote for anyone but white, that makes our colored candidates perfect winning ticket to get votes, in theory.
With the festive season upon us, I would like to wish all South Africa's citizens a happy festive season, prosperous 2014, and few brain cells to make the vote in 2014 elections in a direction to benefit most of the country’s citizens not selected few. It is time to get over the color barrier and vote out the people who stole from us over the last 20 years, give someone else a chance! Maybe just maybe they next lot will steal a bit less!
