What did you get for your R72.73?

20 March 2014, 07:29

R72.73 is what each of the 3.3 million (1) tax payers contributed to Nkandla. We will also soon be funding his fat salary increase so that Zuma can pay back (if he ever does) the amount as recommended by the Public Protector. So what did us tax payers get for our investment? Absolutely nothing except for the price of a movie ticket we get to see the “smoke & mirror” pony show that the ANC will spin out in the upcoming days. Best you get the popcorn ready and enjoy the show.

Zuma is an embarrassment to South Africa, the ANC and politics in general. The ANC is dammed if they don’t recall Zuma at once and they are just as dammed by letting him head up their election list. How can any political party allow a person that not only has Nkandla hanging over his head but also over 700 (2) criminal charges (corruption, fraud, money-laundering and racketeering) that were conveniently swept under the rug to head their election list? Stupidity has no limits it seems.

It is a real pity that the current NEC of the ANC does not collectively have 10% of the integrity and moral fibre that Thuli Madonsela has. One can only hope the voters are not as irresponsible.

Down with these as well

Now that the statue of Rhodes is on its way to the hinterland, one would suppose that it will only be a matter of time before all the other symbols of colonialism are destroyed as well. Read more...
