Who knows right? Who cares right?
Well the bible makes certain claims about reality and about the future of this planet, which will get any reasonable and thoughtfull person thinking. That is why all these debates are going on, some people believe what the bible has to say, some people don't, the people who does not believe, wants to make this book out to be erroneous, or even completely false. The people who does believe are trying to defend the bible in all sorts of ways. And the battlefield is just growing and growing as both sides has enough "google ammunition" to last a lifetime...
The fact of the matter is, if any person had to decide whether to believe these major claims that the bible makes, there are not much more than about two things they could do.
1. They could take a bible and read it with comprehension, and after weighing all the information that this book claims to be the truth, they could simply believe it or not. Granted this could take a while, but just like in science and math, there have been people before us, some hundreds of years ago, who studied these subjects for lifetimes, and that is how any human being learns anything, isn't it, from older more experienced people mostly and sometimes from our own experience.
2. They could lend their ears to the masses and try to make sense out of what all these people are trying to say about the bible this and the bible that...., but at the end of the day they are going to have to decide what to believe about this book that makes these life influencing claims.
Having said the above let me be forthcoming, it is absolutely amazing and astonishing to me, that all people, and i mean 100% of people, that are spending vast amounts of time and energy commenting and writing articles on these things, that are doing their best in trying to ridicule and incriminate the bible with all sorts of arguments, claiming to know exactly what the bible says and teaches, are completely and utterly ignorant to the actual teachings of the bible.
I mean how arrogant can a person be...? It's like driving 200 km/h on the N1, and when a traffic officer stops and questions you, you say, but it was within my rights to drive 200!!! I know the law my friend, i drive 120 in the suburbs! Go read your lawbook!
I don't think your argument are going to stand, much longer than it will take to load you into the yellow canopy....!
Can i truthfully and humbly request that if there is anyone who would like to raise doubt and disbelief concerning what the bible teaches, that you make sure of what it "actually is" that the bible is teaching.
Surely you are free to publically proclaim your own "lack of understanding" concerning truths in the bible, but then please, let it be said and understood that your opinion about the bible is not neccessarily the absolute truth in the bible.
So then, this book makes extraordinary and scary and lifechanging claims about this planet and every living thing on it, if your mind is made up that it is all just unsubstantiated gossip and lies, thats how it will be then, you are responsible for that decision.
The fact that you don't understand the law book, doesn't mean the law does not apply to you, and your excuse that you "misunderstood" the law, will never be a good enough excuse.
You will be going to jail and you will pay the appropriate fine....
