When I say I love you, it is a statement from me, the lover to you, the beloved. Therefore, the focus is on me, the lover, what are my thoughts, words, and deeds for my beloved; not the other way round. It is me who loves, then it is me who must genuinely serve, attend and cooperate with the one that I say 'I love'.
When I love you, I do things for you out of my volunteering, I take ownership for my mentality(i.e. emotional intelligence) towards relating with you. I do things, and share wisdom without asking you, my beloved, to do the same. I give my beloved a space to respond to my love not the way I want, but the way my beloved volunteers to, even though I continue to hope for the manifestation of the best reciprocal relationship.
When I say I love you, then I the self becomes less. While I still matter, and I still acknowledge my existence through self love, however, my needs, and wants becomes secondary to my beloved. Since it I who claims I love, I must then be selfless. I became Selfless out of my humility, to mature myself for the sake of my beloved not just for me, while I express compassion and passion.
I take pleasure in pleasing my beloved, hence, my motivation of relating with my beloved is honest and fair. I became faithful and loyal beyond duty, rather it is out of my love characterized, and stimulated by my virtuous benevolence.
When I say I love you, I commit in a learning process to be proper and devotional, while sharing spiritual and material values with you my beloved, I strive to be a blessing for my beloved, to experience unity(i.e. oneness within oneself and between others), peace(i.e.living in tranquility, calmness,and wholeness regardless of contradictions ), and happiness(i.e. state of content and joyful with or without commodities and all sort of environment).
Because I love, I will learn, and determine myself to be loving and lovable even if people and my beloved are being contrary to my circumstances, this I will do because I believe and rationalize in LOVE.
