Here in South Africa, politics is like crack to us. No matter how the media portrays it, the diversity of how the current government has lost its moral fibre...and how other parties are being formed in order to topple this government.
But no party is without a leader and without a really good leader to take hold of that party...that organisation is doomed to fail. Looking up FORBES, they give 10 outstanding points that make up a good leader. In my personal opinion if you fail to get over 8 of these characteristics you DO NOT have what it takes to be a leader...AND as you know it, my hate for Malema and the EFF, lets start and finish with them.
(1) - Honesty
Malema is not an honest man. He has stolen from the poor through government tenders and enriched himself. Even ADMITTING he had only a single corruption charge clearly indicates he is not an honest man, how can you give your trust to somebody if they are not trustworthy themselves...? NOT a good start fat boy.
(2) - Ability to Delegate
"The key to delegation is identifying the strengths of your team, and capitalizing on them. " Barely even 3 months after EFF's birth it already started to fall apart with the departure of Kenny Kunene. No doubt his political role in the party meant funding for Juliass...but when the organisation began to suck his funds dry, what any reasonable person would do is jump ship. THEN earlier this week, 100 members defected from EFF to Agang in search for better opportunities...Malema failing organisation is also FAILING to keep its members in the actual party. The whole point of the delegating to your members is to keep them vested in your enterprise in order to become stronger...not weaker.
Malema fails to even to keep the basic members in his party and therefore has failed in his delegation skills.
(3) - Communication
"Knowing what you want accomplished may seem clear in your head, but if you try to explain it to someone else and are met with a blank expression, you know there is a problem. "
Malema is a racist. Period. He cannot communicate to the indian or colored people because he has no interests in the indian community, he has no interest there whatsoever.
He cannot and WILL not communicate to the White community most of all because he wants to envoke land grabs, he wants there to be justice done onto us...when he barely even experience Apartheid (which makes no sense to me). Therefor he has lost 3/4 of a possible audience. Malema's manifesto for the country is also filled with contradictions and he has yet to explain how: Everyone will get free education for example...if he hates the whites...for a start.
Malema fails to communicate to audiences even on the basic level...the people he can communicate to is the uneducated because they will believe anything regardless of the content as they cannot think for themselves.
(4) - Sense of Humor
"Encourage your team to laugh at the mistakes instead of crying."
Whenever the EFF get kicked out of a venue...they immediately begin to insult and cry and winge and moan on various things...take the UNISA story. They were kicked out at the last minute (i don't blame them)...and then they decided to go ahead with their own talk anyway and began to blame "this ANC apartheid government..." for stopping the talks...which doesn't even make any sense? UNISA is not run by the ANC!
If Malema had said "We should have brought food parcels!" then it would have been more laughable. But the fact is the Malema cannot handle any form of criticism and that is what makes him a Dictator.
(5) - Confidence
Malema is mistaking confidence and instead incorporating arrogance. They are not the same thing. In order to be a leader you must believe in yourself...it is clear he is not confident in his party. If he was 100% sure of his success he would have not gone to a Nigerian Prophet (which are all quacks anyway) to give him an insight into his parties success.
(thanks for reading thus far!)
(6) - Commitment
I'll eliminate this point to show exactly how Malema is not committed. He VOWS to eliminate corruption from government if he becomes president...HOW can you say you are committed to fight corruption when you are yourself...corrupt? Just by this one of MANY facts instantly disqualifies Juju of ever being committed to anything. He cannot take out corruption because he is corrupted himself.
(7) - Positive Attitude
Nationalizing the mines, driving whites to the sea, land grabs, economic breakdown, investors being told to GTFO, racial slurs, constitutional changes, derogatory statements, false promises and propaganda, a party filled with hatrid and entitlement and bias towards anyone everyone different from blacks...And just incase you forgot, his idol is Robert Mugabe, the same man who destroyed a breadbasket of Africa. How can you seek to be positive when you are not positive yourself!
This is anything but NEGATIVE. All of the above are nothing to be proud of and it only further segregates and divides us as a society. How can you see anything positive in the EFF if the EFF offers no positive solutions...but only more problems?
(8) - Creativity
Malema offers nothing new. He is an EX-Anc member so how is he any different to COPE? He promises more promises than the ANC so thats a start but there are no defining values or critirea that sets Juju apart from him being regarded as creative. Has he set any policies in motion that inspires all the youth and not just blacks? NO. Has he founded any real credible solutions to the current problems that inspires everyone to work towards the goals needed? NO.
Malema is uninspiring and dull and uncreative. Hell, their logo is also colorless and bland. Look at the DA's logo... a rainbow as a field and a bright sun showing prosperity and future. The EFF's logo is the contintent of Africa with a spear. Wow...thats original.
(9) - Intuition
"When leading a team through uncharted waters, there is no roadmap on what to do. Everything is uncertain, and the higher the risk, the higher the pressure. "
The EFF never had a roadmap and it never will because the man who is leading it is directionless. Put the fate of an already ridiculous party in the hands of a man who failed woodwork. The party is not being guided on the road to prosperity it is being guided towards the graveyard where it belongs.
(10) - Ability to Inspire
Malema is not inspiring, he is far from it. When he arrives at venues he may be applauded by his followers (more like sheep)...and he talks about all the negatives from above like land grabs and etc...He couldn't inspire a house fly. What is there to be inspired by about Malema...?
There is one quality he does have and that is that he speaks the truth...not so often but he does it on occasion. He says the things that no one else will...YES, that MAY inspire some people to be more open and stand up for what they believe in...but Malema is not a truthful man so instead he is creating a falsification of the perspective of a True Lie. He says the ANC is worse than the apartheid government...so what? WHAT are you going to do to help us get the ANC out of power or what are you going to do to unite us a nation to exterminate the ANC...?
NOTHING. You're going to complain and complain and you're going to promise and vow and talk...no inspiration. There is no end product, there is no finished chrome. You may be thinking "his supporters love him!"
Why is that? What do they know? Have they ever read an inspiration book before? What kind of party ALSO encourages to forcefully take land or harm other people? This is not inspiring and you should not aspire to this for it is criminal. It is also not inspiring youth...it is HYPING them up and there is a big difference between the two.
SO...what are we left with? A man who: Is not honest, he cannot keep his party members in order, he cannot effectively communicate across to everybody and only a single group of people, he cannot handle criticism, he lacks a certain confidence in himself and his party, the lack of commitment is also apparent, fails to envoke "feel good" feelings to everyone (being positive)...he offers nothing new and gives no credible solutions to existing problems....AND FINALLY... he cannot inspire the people of the country to follow him and instead he has driven a huge chunk away.
SO NOW...what are we left with? An uninspiring man who's desire is to steal more and divide us even further just for his own gain...while he feeds on the helpless and less fortunate because they simply do not know better.
Even so, you guys who see Malema as a leader deserve better.
Julius Malema is NOT a leader and he never will be.
