When 'Rape' is NOT Rape

22 February 2013, 11:03
As the world still reels from brutal and senseless gangs rapes in recent months, it's a good time to reflect on both sides of this coin.

What important to remember, is that in any rape, there's always a victim and a perpetrator, or perpetrators as in the case of gang-style rapings.  Why anyone would engage in a gang rape is beyond me as the very nature of this sexual activity should be a private affair between consenting partners.

It's also extremely important to isolate the verified instances of rapes, and to not paint every crying-wolf case with the same judgmental brush.

There are valid rapes and then there are invalid/illegal rapes.  What I mean is, some cases are valid and should be reported as rape, and at other times, it's merely the begrudged voice of someone with ulterior motives who after the fact then makes an illegal claim of a rape.

In any healthy and happy relationship for example, and especially in marriage, a rape is not something that should ever be reported, I feel.  How can loving partners be accused of rape?  No such thing.

Furthermore, as a devote and obedient wife, who are we as women to make the claims that our husbands are committing such an act, and in the process bringing shame on our own families and scorn on our breadwinners?

After all, a wife's place is to also satisfy her husband's desires and ensure that his eyes are fixed only on us and one way to make that happen is to do our duty as woman and provide for his needs, all of them!

We must never make the mistake of labelling all rapes the same because husbands cannot rape, they simply have a right to take pleasure from all the offerings of a healthy relationship, as intended.

Not all 'rape' is rape and we would be wise to classify the difference properly and also know when a women is simply not complying with her husband's demands and thereby going to the courts for no good reason.
Please be kind to consider this alternative thinking in our modern age.
