Who's God is it.

15 April 2013, 09:09

I did not take much notice of the discussions between the Christians and the Atheists of late.  To me they are either looking for some or other ‘something’ to believe in or don’t know what is going on.

All through the ages the sages and spiritual philosophers proclaimed that happiness, beliefs and your salvation should lie in your inner being.

Unfortunately religions in one form or other cut the umbilical cord of mankind and replaced it with their own version of the ‘savior’.

Let me try and explain.  Your religion and believe system, which is supposed to guide your spirit in the right direction, what that might be, is determined by which bank of the river you were born.   So in your village of birth you were told that the river that runs through is the river that will take you to ‘heaven’, what that might be.

Being enthusiastic you want either to jump in the river and drift towards heaven or want to walk over the mountains to meet heaven and its occupier, commonly named ‘God” or something similar.  However everybody in the village forbid you to do so and sat you down explaining the ‘right way’.

This scenario is met by each new born at all the villages along the mountain streams.  There is always a boats man that will take you there!!  You cannot go to heaven on your own; you are too weak, too sinful and anyway not allowed.  Maybe the boats man in your village is called Mohamed, or Jesus or Jesus’ mother or Buda etc.

You then are ‘educated/conformed’ to be grateful to pay the price of the boats man and then, falling and stumbling and praying and live through horrible feelings of sinfulness, inferiority, remorse, continuously begging for mercy you are made to believe that one day you will arrive in heaven!!

You are also made to believe that you have to defend your ‘religion’; you have AND MUST be prepared to die for what you ‘believe’ in.  So is it that the Israelis sends rockets towards the Muslims, who in turn fastens destructive mechanisms round their young bodies, walk amongst the Jews, pull the trigger and answer the call of Jihad!!

So in the middle ages the Popes’ council gathered the knights, armed them and inspired them to sow destruction and mass murders amongst the Moors and other infidels!!

Most western countries have to protect them against international terrorism.  Directly translated, it means that the Muslims are defending their religion against the Christian religious onslaughts.

And all those killers are called HEROES!!!

But all the rivers run into the same ocean, the same heaven, the same God!!

What/who is God??

The God concept has intrigued mankind since the beginning.  The general concept is of an old wise man in a white rope with a generous smile.

All religions call upon Him to give them the power to overcome the others, the infidels, the heathens, the sinners!!  And all others call on their God(s) to give them the same powers.  How confusing would that be to God or is there a Council of Gods, where amongst them, will decide whose prayers should be answered, because the one group’s prayers negate the opposing?  I’m just wondering.

Isn’t the God concept closer to the Creator, the Almighty, and Eternity?

Isn’t ‘God’ but the universe, with its awesome power, the energy flow of the Universe?

We are all invited to become part of that.  To be part of the energy flow of the Universe.  Some of us answer that call and are regarded as the ‘Mother Theresa’s, the Gift of the givers’ of the world.  Then you are part of that energy flow, and then you are in heaven!!  You do not need to wait for the boats man to take you there.  You are!!

Xenophobia, or racism?

Xenophobia is described as ‘a fear, dislike, or prejudice against people from other countries.’ If you substitute ‘countries’ with ‘race’ then you have the description of racism. In my view the two are simply the same thing. Read more...
