I enjoyed Biker's article and see how that thinking could work for him, but here it is from my side of the fence.
Firstly, I divide Christians into two categories.
1) Super-spiritual over emotional zelots who follow whatever the latest 'move' or trend is and tend to have zero backbone. - They are the ones who generally make commitments they cannot keep and quote principles that they never apply. They are terrible at business, highly judgmental and not very easy to work with. They are the unquestioning supporters and fans of ministerial superstars and fanatically quote these superstars at every chance. This bunch are the very bad advertising campaign that the Atheists enjoy quoting and if I was an Atheist, I too would use them as ammo against every religion.
2) The principle based, hard working, fun loving, both feet on the ground Christians who love God, love people and strive to treat others with love, respect and honor.
These are the ones I work with the most. They set the pace on projects, maintain a very consistent positive attitude, work hard on their marriages (translates to drive at work) and keep the swearing, flustering and general booze and drugs environment far away from themselves.
We can still braai, have a beer, have a laugh and all the normal things you do if you are a sane, fun loving human, but I never have to worry about the nonsense that happens on the 'no rules' side of the fence.
My experiences with Atheists and Agnostics has always been very negative.
Ok, 'always' is a strong word, but very close. Overboard boozing at staff parties, cheating on each other because of aforementioned parties, talking to people like trash, swearing subordinates as if it is the most natural thing in the world, general disrespectful tone of voice in high pressure environments...Talking about women in the most disgusting, disrespectful manner... Using rank as an excuse to dominate and hurt...
No thank you, I would rather have you lot make fun of me for serving my fairytale than be forced to live and work in an environment where your ego comes first and 'it's just business' and all the other rubbish justifications you use to hurt, destroy and dominate others in your 'dog eat dog' world.
Every now and then I meet an Atheist who is not as bad as this post makes them out to be, but that is very rare.
Generally, the atheists I meet simply hate moral limitation and all their anti religious diatribe is nothing more than justification for breaking every rule they can. (Not in all cases but certainly most).
If you want to work for me, you need to genuinely love people. We make money but money is a means to an end, not the end in itself.
I hire many non-Christians who share these principle based ideals but the devoted God fearing bunch definitely set the pace for everyone.
I don't deny people the right to party it up and treat each other like crap. Do it where they allow that nonsense but it aint happening under my roof. Maybe Biker has a job for you.
