Why Religion needs to be opposed.

08 March 2013, 10:02
First let's get one thing clear. I don't care what religion, non religion or wuckfittery you like to support, it is your absolute right to believe anything you want. If your faith has you believing that little yellow bunnies are going to drink the rainbow urine of pink unicorns and turn into magnificent virginal ladies that are going to swallow, that is your right. As long as you practice it with your fellow bunnyarians in your temples and don't try and convert me, preach it at me or my children unless we visit your temple, or ask about it I will never make fun of you.

I get asked by Christians why I pick on Christianity and not on Buddhists, Muslims and Hindus. It's simple I live in an area where the major form of wuckfittery is Christianity. I pick on Muslims too because this is the second most popular religion where I am. If the Hindus and Buddhists wrote article proclaiming their faith and offering me a chance to redeem myself, I would oppose them too. If Bunnyarians were real and preached at me, I'd make as much fun of them as people offering healing orbs by facebook, those that have faeries in the bottom of their gardens and Homoeopaths. I am an equal opportunity opposer of wuckfittery.

Religion needs to opposed for a number of reasons, starting with Religion is intolerant. When a country gets led by "moral" crusaders supporting a specific God you have people going to gaol for imagined sleights. You see Christians get Goaled in Muslim Countries for daring to preach the words of Christ. Atheists get to be stoned for blasphemy for daring to say that imaginary sky pilots are not real.

Religion wants to brainwash your children. Religion insists that their brand of wuckfittery is taught in schools, broadcast in public meetings, the end goal is to make everyone part of their flock. Religion does not like leaders, it adores followers and loves comparing them to sheep.

Religion claims the moral high ground, yet the adherents will lie outright about the contents of their holy scrolls. Their religion is peaceful as long as you follow them. If not you are a heathen, an infidel a subhuman if you like, that does not deserve protection. Killing infidel is not an an act of war, It's an act of Religion.

For a bad man to do evil is easy, for a good man to do evil, religion is essential. I started this article because of a very specific happening. In the land of the free and the brave (reaaally?) in the capital of Country music, yes folks Nashville Tennessee a bill has just been passed giving counsellors the right to tell someone to convert or not get treated. If a counsellor read medical professional has a "moral" objection to a persons lifestyle he may deny treatment.

"But senators voiced concern that psychologists don’t seem to think it’s OK to turn into moral scolds during counseling sessions and demand that their clients find Jesus on the spot or get out. Sen. Stacey Campfield, R-Knoxville, couldn’t understand why psychology departments aren’t teaching their students how to pray away the gay with homosexual clients." nashvillescene.com
"Sen. Rusty Crowe, R-Johnson City, said, “I would think that you should be up front and truthful and tell them if they are doing wrong and try to counsel them to do what’s right. That really disturbs me.” nashvillescene.com

Two of the seven "public leaders" who voted for bill SB514 are medical professionals. So much for that Hippocratic oath then. But I suppose the gays are only untermensches anyway, so the Bible is not there to protect them and offer them solace. It is only to condemn them and make the Christians feel superior.

Religion is like having a penis. It's fantastic, can be a little embarrassing at times (you know what I am saying, right?) but it is not a good idea to shove it down peoples throats, unless they are begging for it... right?  I don't oppose your right to practice your religion, I only oppose your will to make it mine.
