Why is the country getting poorer , politicians richer and potholes deeper ?

11 April 2014, 12:42

It is easy to spend money freely when one has not worked for it. And that is what the government excels at .

What is heart-rendering for the taxpayer  is that he has a constant battle to make ends meet while his taxes are misspent by incompetent , irresponsible goverment officials and a vast amount disappears into the deep pockets of corrupt politicians and officials by means of fraud and corrupt practices.

More than 30 billion is lost every year .

What makes matters worst is that some of the top goverment officials who are supposed to keep a close watch on maladministration in their departments are the worst perpetrators.

Our president who should be a role model has no compunction about enriching himself at the taxpayers' expence. He is supported by his equally unscrupulous sycophants who have sworn , like him , to uphold the constitution .

What is really very bad is that the Department of Justice cannot be trusted anymore to uphold the law. The National Prosecuting Agency is very selective about who should be prosecuted. That is why Jacob Zuma is still running free adding with impunity to his family fortune.

A lot of money is also wasted through maladministration by incompetent cadre appointees.

Are there then no qualified competent applicants for jobs in goverment ?  There are  yes , but they lack in pigmentation and political connections. It is called racial discrimination . A diabolical system.

Remember the recent explosions at powerstations that will cost the country billions ? It happened because of poor maintenance by incompetent irresponsible people.

Will things change soon for the better ?

No , because the source of all the problems the ANC -supporters and their leaders will be with us for a long time.
