Why you should stop using Gentle Magic!!

26 May 2014, 14:12

I have a serious beef with gentle magic, yeah that shit works. Having used the product myself I can attest to this and anyone else who has used the product will most certainly tell you that they were very happy with the product at the onset. After a few days of using gentle magic you will see a noticeable difference on your skin. It will start glowing; the spots and zits will lessen, in some instances they may even disappear. Your skin will be brighter and you will notice a change in your complexion. After a few months of using the product, you skin will glow with radiance, I mean hey everyone would like to be a little lighter.

Okay, okay maybe I am getting a little carried away; the aim of this article is not to promote gentle magic but rather to express my discontent with the product. Like many people out there, I have struggled with my skin and I am always looking for a ways to even out my complexion and reduce breakouts and pimples. After a few months of using gentle magic I found that the product is not an ordinary skincare product, it is somewhat a skin lightening product. I feel that the manufacturers have concealed this important piece of information from consumers. I know that I may sound like I am bitching but if you knew the repercussions of using skin lightening products you would probably dispose of all your gentle magic.

If you have been using gentle magic for a long while,  you’ve probably become lighter in complexion, and if you have been using it for longer than a year you are probably very light but light in an unnatural pale-ish (Pale) way and the visibility of you acne scars has multiplied. The scars look like black spots, and normally appear near the edge of your face, close to the cheeks and ears;  in some instances on the forehead.

Here’s the deal:

Skin lightening products were generally made to aid people with uneven skin tone or unbalanced pigmentation, however if used for prolonged periods they can lead to scarring and darkening of the skin that cannot be reversed.  If skin lightening products are used appropriately, they can help improve the appearance of your skin, however it is also important to note that you may get severe side effects from such products. Severe acne is one of the side effects of skin lightening creams. Using skin lightening products may also lead to Ochronosis. Oschronosis is stubborn dark patches on the skin. Another irreversible side effect of using skin lightening cream is leukoderma.  Leukoderma is a condition whereby your skin stops producing melanin resulting in pink patches on the skin.

If yall are aspiring to look like the ghostly Mshoza, keep your gentle magic. I sure hope that I do not get sued by gentle magic, with that in mind this article is not law, it’s merely my own personal observation. Truth of the matter is; I would recommend gentle magic, but I would advise that you limit usage to a few months.
