Will the real God please stand up

23 November 2012, 08:30
I have written this article in the interest of learning opposed to getting into the debate of the existence of god/s. I pose a simple question... is the Muslims Allah and the Christians Yahweh the same God? I do know in theory they both fall under the Abrahamic religion but would like to know in practice, do you believe it is the same God?

Yes I know Muslims don't believe in Jesus (or believe that Jesus is God) and Christians the prophet Mohammad. It does get rather confusing considering Jesus is God, who is the son of God, who is also the holy ghost who equals God the Father who equals Jesus the son. Let's leave that out for now, I'm asking about the main man.

My next logical questions would be the following:- Do you believe your chosen scriptures are inspired by or guided by the hand of God?- On what grounds does Christianity dismiss the Qur'an and visa versa?- Muslims, do you think Christians are going to hell, and Christians, do you think Muslims are going to hell?- Have you read the opposing Bible / Qur'an and chosen your particular faith on the grounds that your version sounds more believable?- On what grounds do you believe that your version is the correct one?

I would appreciate your time in enlightening me.
