WOW! Dating sucks!!!!
Most of those conversations go like this
Him: are you single? (well um duuuu, I'm on a date site with my profile clearly showing single)
Him: do you live alone? (Having heard this question so many times i now have a revised answer)
Me: No, I live with my parents, my two kids, my sister, her son, the two dogs and my latest addition my two birds :D
This usually stops most of the attention and not long after I have been deleted. See he was either looking for a place to stay or trying to find out if he could come over for a quick roll in the hay. Every so often however there will be one that actually tries really hard but after a month or two that conversation also seems to dry up.
So being single in this day and age is really really hard. Online dating has become a cesspool of perverts looking for their next conquest, and this being both genders. It seems that married people have also found their outlet there as surely chatting to someone could not possibly be cheating...even if you are sexting. And finally the people who are so desperately seeking their other half that they seem to have forgotten that two broken halves DO NOT make for a healed and healthy relationship.
The cherry on top in this situation would be the ones that talk to you for half an hour and can not fathom why you don't want to run off to the church to get married to them right away! Surely there must be something wrong with you!
So where does that leave the poor single folk who are looking for some "quality" company and conversation and maybe later something more?
NIGHT CLUBS! Nope, not doing that again!! There you mostly find the drunkards who try and grope you like you are KFC, finger licking good, or you find the "single" guys who are just trying to dull the memory that they actually have a loving wife/fiance/girlfriend at home.
In the last two years I have gone out clubbing and not once found a nice normal guy who is unattached and can actually carry a conversation. So no more clubbing.
This is where the fun part starts...Most peoples next reaction would be to tell me not to look for love. My reply? Hmmmm very clever!!! Why didn't I think of that????? Clearly they are happily married and have absolutely no idea how it feels to spend night after night on your own watching series till your brain turns into an intersect!!
As soon as they note your frustration their next reply is to wait until you meet someone in your daily life...
My solution? I am working on an app where I can get the phone number of the cute guy in the traffic next to me. Till next time C'est la vie
