You are not stupid, prove it by voting!

21 December 2013, 14:14

I haven't cried or laughed so much in ages. From the passing of a truly remarkable individual to the side splitting antics of the SA government. I think it was Trevor Noah who said he doesn't have to make anything up, South African politicians provide him with plenty of material. Gosh we actually don't even need comedians you just have to read the news. At least you might be getting something back for all your wasted taxes and as "fortunate'' South Africans you can laugh with the rest of the world and not by yourselves.

A fraudulent schizophrenic language interpreter, interpreting gibberish for some of the most powerful leaders in the world. I cringed with embarrassment as I laughed with the rest of the world.

Nkandla explanations - fire pools, amphitheater retaining walls, demanding, arrogant insensitive questions about right to choose where one should live except if you are a Zuma neighbour, high heels and alarm activating cows. Do these people believe that South Africans are so stupid! I laugh with the rest of the world but I might just admit to being Australian next time some one tries to identify my accent.

Mzwandile Masina said "fork off" at a media briefing on Friday instead of "fuck off" when referring to Numsa general secretary Irvin Jim, the ANC Youth League said. Fork-off'according to the league meant "to divide in branches, go separate ways" and had been used as early as the 14th century in the English language. Please! I wonder if there is a word for "fork off" in Pedi because someone should use it in relation to the ANCYL.

Afrikaans speakers are paying less for etolls than their English speaking counterparts. This according to the signed Government Gazettes for the e-toll tariffs, which refers Afrikaans alternative users to a cheaper column listing of tariffs than the one indicated in the English version. A 'Forked up'' version of a Government Gazette, and one that is so sensitive. Probably checked by the same person who checked the sign language interpreters credentials.

I laugh with a weeping heart. South Africans are not stupid. Unfortunately, the world only sees these idiots and they see a country that has the potential to succeed as a world leader as a banana republic. One whose citizens are so challenged that they believe this insulting drivel and continue to vote this scum back into office.

Preserve Nelson Mandela's legacy. For South Africa and her people please vote.
