You would think that you could trust SPAR ... apparently not so ...

You would think that you could trust SPAR ...
apparently not so ...

Some of you may have seen my Warning on Friday about Foodcorp's Dog Food being Contaminated ... and in my discussions with them, it was mentioned that Notices to Withdraw all product manufactured in June from Every Retailers shelves, were sent out 10 days ago ...

Yesterday 19th July, I went into my local My SPAR Richdens in Hillcrest, KZN ... only to find that the product recall had been consciously IGNORED !!! ...
and that ALL Foodcorp dog food manufactured in June was still on the shelves and still being sold ...

The young manager whom I spoke to, acknowledged that he was aware of the recall, but had done NOTHING about removing the stock from the shelves !!! ... complaining that it was too much 'PT' to go through with the process ...

Only whilst I was in Richdens yesterday, was there a 'hurried' removal of stock !!! ...

AND ... whilst in Richdens I did some shopping, one of the items was SPAR Long Life Full Cream Milk ... with a 'use by date' of 2/4/2015 ...
which was so badly off, even my dogs wouldn't touch it !!! ...

Personally I find where manufacturers and retailers are so irresponsible and where they have product on the shelves that is UNTESTED and when they know that the product is not fit for human consumption, but work on the assumption that the average person is too lazy to complain, and will just throw it away, adding to to landfills, is just TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE ...

PS … Richdens and Spar … the milk is being sent away to an independent lab for analysis and toxicity testing ... the results may be very interesting ... watch this space for an update ...
