Your children are not heirs of your past suffering

23 April 2014, 15:26
Jacob was chosen by God and blessed by his father. He had divine visions and heard the voice of God when he was running from his brother’s wrath. He experienced what God promised him in the house of Laban where he prospered and became great. He was fully aware of the power that was in control over the circumstances of his life. He had left the house of his father with a stick in his hand, but he returned to his homeland rich and fulfilled. However, when he met the angel on his way back home, he did not merely give him a good report of what God had done in his own life. He was a blessed man but the bible says he fought against the angel so that he may receive another blessing. He remembered the difficulties of life outside his homeland and the lack of freedom in a foreign land. He had not forgotten the limited joy of prosperity in exile. He remembered his fourteen years of suffering for the woman he loved. He did not want to continue to be the enemy of his brother and to live inside a divided family! He did not want his children to repeat his history! Beloved, the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth will not kill you if you ask him to bless you more! Do not limit yourself to what you have already received! Your life is not limited to you only because you are the beginning of a long history on earth! Think about your offspring; think about the fourth and fifth generation of your blood! Pray to God that the story of your struggles and your pain may not be repeated in your children! Insist on these things! It is not because you suffered to become who you are today that your children also have to go through a school of suffering! Remember, when you meet an angel (messenger) of God, do your best to receive his blessing! Teach this principle also to your children! Each messenger of God has his own anointing! Seek abundance and divine security for you and for your descendants! God bless you! Genesis 32:24-28, Exodus 20:5-6, Deuteronomy 30:19.
