ANC's 'startling legacy'

08 July 2009, 10:17 - Anonymous

Is it the government's corruption, their blatant overspending or even the billion rand arms scam?

No, the ANC's startling legacy is far more insidious and has far greater consequences - a massive 32% population growth in 16 years.

- 32% more people to feed

- 32% more people to house

- 32% more people to educate.

- 32% more people seeking jobs

- 32% more for the over burdened taxpayer to support

- 32% more people to potentially turn to crime because the government has failed to feed, house, educate and provide jobs for them

How does this translate?

Of course, many, but not the majority, will house, feed and educate themselves without government assistance.

- 32% more people to feed - with global warming and the switch to bio-fuels world food production is slowing down dramatically. Recent studies have shown that our SA water resources are fit for perhaps another 20 - 30 years. Africa is slowly starving to death and yet the madness continues unchecked with more abandoned babies and street children than ever before. Two million Aids orphans in SA still have no access to regular food.

- 32% more people to house - in its 2009 election manifesto, the ANC boasts 2.7 million free houses have been built since 1994 - but they managed to grow the population by nearly 12 million!

- 32% more people to educate - no classrooms, let alone books. As well-known educationist, Dr Kumango admitted recently, blacks in SA received better education under the old inferior Bantu Education system as any education, no matter how poor, is better than none at all. Presently, most rural children are receiving little or no education at all.
.
- 32% more people seeking jobs - the ANC says they are going to create 500 000 new jobs by the end of year -  while the population grows at another 500 000!

- 32% more people for the overburdened taxpayer to support - This is not a middle class problem, black or white. Mr Zuma, you cannot blame apartheid for the problems of the past 16 years. You grew the population by 12 million but only grew your tax base by 3.5 million - 3.5 million into 12 million simply does not go; 89 billion this year, how much more next year?

32% more people to turn to crime - even if only one percent do, which is not unrealistic, we have another 120 000 people to rob, rape, maim and steal

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom.   What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

"When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation.

"You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." - The late Dr Adrian Rogers (1931-2005)
