Help us, Madiba

18 July 2008, 15:29

Baleseng Ntshabele, News24 User

So many people are thinking, what you would get Madiba for his birthday present? How did he managed to do it all and still come out positive without any grudge? How much money he has made? How many birthday presents he gets? How many birthday cakes he needs for that day?

My question is: After all this, do you think it was your purpose in life to do what you did?

I don't know, I have been hearing the same message preached from different pastors in different days and it got me thinking and later, I realised that it hasn't been Madiba's Birthday but it has been celebrated already around the world and he is being honoured - let me not be sued for talking anything that doesn't honour Madiba but like I said, I was just wondering and wonders never cease.

Okay, let's say we're in the big meeting with God and he is asking everyone "Did you do your earth work (home work)?" Everyone knows that God's eye sees everything and He knows what Madiba has done. What if that wasn't it or maybe somewhere along the way while doing what he needed to do that purpose was only 1% of the 100% he did?

Madiba, have you checked with the Old Man if you are done in this world? What if you are supposed to intervene in whatever is going on in our politics, what if that's your purpose? What if you are supposed to help with the Zim crisis? What if you suppose to help with something that you left behind thinking you are done? Then what? You will be the part of the puzzle that will be missing and no one will fill in your type of shoes.

Can maybe someone just confirm if the old man has done what he needs to do?

I love Madiba, he has courage, he is strong, he is patient and he can forgive and forget. He is being celebrated all over the world, there is a concert just for him, he has his face on money, he has his numbers on bangles, but what if there is something, just one last thing that Mr President you need to take care of. What if you are suppose to save us from this government?

Look at what's happening, more of our brothers are drinking themselves to death and they blame the government. What if you saved a nation that wasn't mature enough to deal with change and now everyone is running around like headless chickens and those who find their place distance themselves from the lost generation you freed?

People are still jobless, some townships are just unbearable, only suburbs get all the maintenance. Which people did you free, those who benefited from all the BEE deals?

Where is the freedom today if our black brothers are not hiring us?
