Cape Town - Julius Malema's equality court case is expected to continue this week.
The Sonke Gender Justice Network laid a complaint of hate speech, harassment and unfair discrimination against the ANC Youth League president following a remark he made at the Cape Peninsula Technikon in January during election campaigning.
"Those who had a nice time will wait until the sun comes out, request breakfast and ask for taxi money. In the morning, that lady requested breakfast and taxi money," Malema said in January.
But Malema described himself as a defender of women who would never promote hatred towards them.
"I am a defender of women, I am an activist."
Malema's lawyer Tumi Mokwena said in August that the ANCYL leader's comments were based on those made by the judge who acquitted Zuma in 2006.
Closing arguments in Malema's equality court case is due to be heard this week. What do you think the outcome will be? Have your say in the comments box below.
