I'm going to make this short and sweet.
Ever since JM came on the scene, all the black people now want land and shares in the mine and all that nonsense. Their also saying how they want what is theirs and they DEMAND the farms we (whites) stole from their ancestors...
Now this is where I begin to get annoyed and i can give 2 reasons and demonations why:
(1) - WHY did you guys wait 20 years after apartheid to raise the land issue? if it was so important you would have made it apparent after Madibas release. This whole bogus plot to take back land is nothing but another desperate attempt to make money off someone else good fortune. Stop blaming the white people for not giving back the land because our "ancestors" stole it...if the land was such of national importance you would have raised the issue as such to the new government when Mandela was released from prison.
(2) - Double standards...double standards everywhere. Did you seem to forget that it is the great king Shaka who started the very first tribal land grabs BEFORE the NP came into power? Ahh...now look who's ancestors stole land. Here is an excerpt from the webpage -
The Zulu, a related group of small chiefdoms, arrived soon after, and by the early nineteenth century they had evolved into a large, predatory kingdom. Zulu armies displaced or destroyed many small chiefdoms, and in the upheaval some of those who fled north probably retraced the pathways their ancestors had used centuries earlier as they moved into the region. Others were subjugated and assimilated into Zulu society, and a few--the forebears of today's Swazi and Sotho peoples--resisted Zulu advances and withdrew into mountainous regions that would later become independent nations.
So what does that mean? That means that your ancestors are personally responsible for varios land grabs in South Africa upon the Swazi, Xhosa and even the KhoiSan. You cant deny it, you are JUST as guilty.
What if those Swazi went the government and said that you were sitting on their ancestors land or that you were on their uncles farm...? Now the tables are turned, what have you got to say...?
I'd love to have a discussion on this please keep it formal.
Happy heritage day.
