Dear President Jacob Zuma,
In light of your severe lack of honesty, leadership and common sense, EVERYTHING you now say has as much credibility as what Julius Malema says… ZERO. You have continued, over your first 5 year term to show the people of this country just how greedy and corrupt a person with power can be.
You are now in a position that whatever you do will be met with disdain and whatever you say will be met with disregard. This is how people treat someone who they know is lying, cheating and stealing from them. It is not personal towards you, it is simply how society treat criminals.
You propose a freeze on top-exec salaries not even a month after you sort out your own increase, you call for monetary restraint within the ruling party moments after splurging who-really-knows-how-much tax money on your homestead, the list goes on and on...
It would be ridiculous to say that the bad name the ANC has creating for itself is entirely your doing but you chose to partake in the corruption and self enrichment instead of fight it as a good leader of people should do. The worst part is the blatancy with which this is all happening…
Fool me once, shame on you; Fool me twice, shame on me- I will no longer be fooled into giving your government my hard earned money as tax, as I know where the money is going and I do not approve. I will do my own charity work with the money I would normally pay as tax; at least that way I know that the money is being used for something constructive.
While your supporters violently protest around us in most industries, destroying lives, livelihoods and our economy, they somehow do not realize that a change in governance will lead to a change in their situation- I wish you had made an effort to improve our education system so that these people may realize this themselves. Everything is done for a reason I guess..
I will not be violent, I will not incite hatred, all I want is to know that I am being respected as a South African citizen. Until this happens, you do not have my vote or my tax money - send the police, ill give them R20 and they will go away.
