President Jacob Zuma will again come to serious spotlight this afternoon as He takes to the podium to deliver his last state of the nation address.
Zuma will take this opportunity to highlight on government’s achievements under his leadership since he took office in 2009. During his tenure as a president, President Zuma term on office has been under constant criticism due to his affiliation with the wealthy family (Guptas), E-tolls and renovation of his residence in Nkandla. Mr Zuma is likely to sell what was mentioned at ANC’s election manifesto launch in Mpumalnga, as he will try to convince the public to give him another chance for re-election for the upcoming 07th May 2014 national elections.
The country has also been under serious service delivery protests where a couple of lives have been lost. Government properties such as clinics and libraries have been burned down as a result of these protests. Mr Zuma is expected to touch seriously on the effect of these protests. In closing, this is another opportunity for MP’s to showcase their wardrobe as it always happens during the opening of parliament.
