Umlalazi-Nkandla Smart Growth Centre project popularly known as Zumaville or Nkandlagate is a new town
due to be developed just 3.2km away from President Jacob Zuma’s home (not compound or homestad) in
Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal.
The Umlalazi-Nkandla Smart Growth Centre project is the brain child of President Zuma through the
Masibambisane (a rural development organisation which Zuma chaired), now thats not how one
should cover one's tracks. I recommend Zuma should take a leaf from Malema who used a trust. As proof of the high levels of nepotism in government rumour has it Deebo Mzobe, a distant relative of Zuma is the deputy chair of the Masibambisane Rural Development Initiative.
For brevity I will refer to Umlalazi-Nkandla Smart Growth Centre project as Zumaville. Zumaville will
be the first new town to be developed in South Africa since 1994. The government will use more than R1bn
of taxpayers' money into the development, now thats milking us dry Msholozi (thats Zuma for the unitiated).
Rumour has it that it costs R247m to upgrade Zuma's homestead, I wonder how much it will
cost to maintain Zumaville. Back to Zumaville, 1 billion of government funding is not enough to build Zumaville, so
all those who where given a tender by Zuma will have to contribute 1 billion making Zumaville a private public partnership (good thinking Msholozi).
The future president of South Africa your truly Julius Malema has labeled Zumaville as the
New York City of KwaZulu-Natal in Nkandla.
Talking of Presidents, not to be outdone is President Mugabe whos is doing what Zuma is trying to do in Nkadla in his own rural home Zvimba
but at a larger scale. The Government of Zimbabwe is said to be planning to build
Zvimba-gate or maybe lets call it Mugabeville.
Mugabe and his cronnies is planning to build a new capital city in Mt Hampden,
which falls under Zvimba Rural District Council, President Robert Mugabe’s home area.
The new city is designed in the mould of the wealthy Sandton area of Johannesburg, South Africa.
I think Mugabe is coping Zuma, Zuma should file for copyright infrigment because this is Zuma's original idea, thumbs up on Zuma on being so original.
In closing I give you Msholozi's own words on Zumaville “Developing that area (Zumaville) does not trouble me, it makes me very proud."
