Savanna City residence on a strike for high rates and taxes and the water bill is billed on estimates and not on the actual water usage. The residents are angry because of this high rates. Some are scared that they might loose their houses due to high bond payments as well as high rates and taxes. Electricity charges increased by 1.88%, refuse collection charges increased to 7% , sanitation services increased to 7%, property rates increased to 10% and water increased to 10.2%.
