There was once a song we sang as children alongside the masses, activists, gallant fighters, MK soldiers and frontrunners of the ANC (I was not a member of the ANC, my father was). It was a song of selflessness, bravery, dedication and volunteerism to fight an evil system that wanted to undermine the lives of Afrikans in the land of their forefathers.
Have you noticed a prime characteristic of Zuma? Whenever he is caught in wrongdoing (which has happened multiple times), he always tries to shift the blame onto someone else.
As we are in the Freedom month, the nation as a whole takes this time and reflects on the journey which we have had in the past 22 years of democracy.
By dint of its separation from the other two pillars of state and because it presides over principle not over legal disputes, the Concourt will always be subtle, unemotional and measured in its judgments.
Now that Zuma's cleverly attempted impeachment was unsuccessful as South Africans we have a responsibility to find a way forward.
Not only are you an inspiration to not only South Africans but to the world. you have shown pride, passion, inspiration and ultimate dedication.
