Nairobi - Kenyan police said on Wednesday they had arrested a Nigerian preacher after almost 10kg of heroin was found in his luggage when he arrived at Nairobi's international airport.
The Nigerian was arrested Friday upon his arrival from Dubai with 9.6kg of narcotics packed in with automotive spare parts, the head of Kenya's airport police unit Thomas Chigamba told reporters.
"He told me he was a pastor and even preached and pleaded with our officers to release him because he was a priest," Chigamba said.
The man is due to be charged with trafficking in narcotics later this week, he added.
