25 die in DRC massacre

Goma/Nairobi - The bodies of 25 civilians were found massacred in the province of North Kivu in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the UN Mission in Congo (Monuc) reported on Monday.
According to the report, women and children were the primary victims of the attack, and the number of dead could rise. About 150 huts were set ablaze and many persons are reported to have fled into the nearby forest.
A bridge into the area was also burned down, making the area only reachable by air. Monuc plans an investigation. - Sapa-dpa
