Somali govt coming home
09/02/2005 10:08 - (SA)
Nairobi - Somali Prime Minister Mohammed Ali Gedi said on Wednesday the shattered country's transitional government would begin relocating to Somalia from exile in Kenya on February 21.
Gedi said the decision to begin the move followed reports from a fact-finding mission of Somali lawmakers who travelled to the bullet-scarred capital of Modadishu earlier this month to assess security there.
"Considering the findings of the mission ... we (have decided) to start our official relocation on the 21st of February," he told reporters in the Kenyan capital.
