  • Pigg's Peak - Four SA citizens have been arrested in Swaziland after being found in possession of 137kg of dagga.

The three women and one man were charged with unlawful possession, reports the Times of Swaziland.

The four suspects are from Drikopis, a small town in South Africa, and had come to Swaziland to buy the drug near the Matsamo Border Post in the Northern Hhohho region.

A police patrol found the South Africans at about 23:00 and as they acted suspiciously, they were detained and interrogated, and the truth came out.

They will appear in the Pigg's Peak magistrate's court on Monday.

Hhohho has been a den of dagga growing for years and many people from all over the Southern African region come to buy dagga here.

Police Public Relations Officer Superintendent Vusi Masuku confirmed the arrests.
