Police open fire on students

Kinshasa - Police opened fire to disperse hundreds of demonstrating students at Kinshasa University on Friday wounding two people, a university official said.
The students were protesting against a strike by teachers in the Democratic Republic of Congo and had stoned teachers' cars before police intervened.
A university official told AFP two students may have been shot in the leg. The official said one was a second-year medical student, but that details on the second had not come through.
Students are angry because teachers have been on strike for three months over a wage battle which has forced the postponement of exams.
