Pretoria - The mother of missing Pretoria girl Sheldean Human, 7, is taking a daily dose of tranquillisers to deal with the situation.

"I went to the clinic on Friday and the doctor gave me sedatives which I drink every night," said Elize Human from Pretoria Gardens on Sunday night.

"I hope and pray and wait all the time that a miracle will happen and my child will come home."

She spent the day on Sunday at Sheldean's godparents in Daspoort.

Sheldean disappeared on February 18 from the communal dwelling she and her mother shared with 41 people.

Police have so far been unable to find the girl or come up with leads in her disappearance.
