Cape Town - The body of an eleven-year-old Cape Flats girl who went missing on Friday was found in the ceiling of her home on Sunday morning.
Annestacia Wiese was wearing a pink shirt and denim jeans just like the murdered Sheldean Human of Pretoria, when she disappeared.
Annestacia went missing at about 11:00 on Friday.
She and a friend were on their way to a shop a block away from her home in Woodridge when a man took her by the hand and led her in the direction of Woodlands high school.
According to a neighbour, Andy Wilson, Annestacia's mother Janine had fetched her from school earlier that day because she had a "strange feeling".
She later sent Annestacia to the shop.
Police spokesperson superintendent Billy Jones said that after an intensive search over the weekend, Annestacia's body was found at about 10:30 on Sunday by a "close relative and member of the neighbourhood watch".
Statements from family, friends
Concerned onlookers jeered at the Western Cape minister of community safety Leonard Ramatlakane when he turned up at the scene.
Forensic investigation officers combed the house for possible evidence. Annestacia's body was only brought out at about 17:00.
Her grandmother, Sarah Wiese of Montagu, said her son Willem Wiese cried hysterically when he heard that his daughter had died.
Police took a visibly upset Wiese and his 14-year-old son Altino to the police station to make a statement.
According to Jones, more statements would be taken from family members and friends of the Wieses.
"We're confident that we'll find out exactly how it all fits together," Jones said.
Mother's lover not seen since Friday
Neighbours said Janine Wiese's lover was last seen on Friday.
Friends and neighbours described Annestacia as quiet and friendly.
She was a reserved child and very obedient. Very decent and humble," said Wilson at whose house Annestacia often played. "She quickly won one's affection."
"It's wrong what they're doing to our community," Hilda Daniels, 16, told Die Burger.
"How are we supposed to feel? Something just has to be done."
Another friend, Veronique Anthony, 15, wanted to know, "What about little children who love to play outside so much?"
