R Kelly denies sex allegations

Cape Town - R & B singer R Kelly has commented on the recent allegations that he has been taped having sex with an underage girl.
Kelly spoke on US television on Wednesday night and denied involvement in the scandal. The superstar denied that he was on the tape and also attempted to clear his name against claims of involvement with other underage girls, NME.com reports.
"I've done a lot of wrong things in my life, but I'm not a criminal, I'm not a monster," he said on the Tonight with Ed Gordon show. "I can say it in all confidence that it's not me because I didn't do it. I want America to know that you can't believe everything you hear, and nowadays, you can't believe everything you see."
Kelly is under investigation for the underage sex allegations and copies of the tape are being sold in US cities and the internet.
Kelly also commented on other underage sex lawsuits. He settled two of the suits out of court and said on Wednesday night said he did so on the advice of lawyers who told him it wasn't worth his time to fight them.
Last week his legal team said Kelly would not be dispensing any more money on lawsuits and they would fight a third suit which alleges he had an affair with a 15-year-old girl, got her pregnant then coerced her into having an abortion. Kelly denied the allegations, saying they were false.
The ex-husband of singer Aaliyah, who recently died in a plane crash implied there were other problems in his life.
"I've done a lot of things in my life right now that I'm trying to get help for."
