Croc smuggler caught in Egypt

Cairo - Cairo airport police have arrested an Egyptian teacher for trying to smuggle 60 baby crocodiles to Jordan in his luggage, an airport
customs official said on Tuesday.
The high school teacher, Mugahed Salah Mohammed Ahmed, was arrested on Monday after he was found with the animals in a box trying to board a flight to Jordan, the official said, adding that the animals had been confiscated.
Ahmed was later released on bail, according to the government Al-Ahram newspaper which said he had bought the crocodiles in Cairo's Sayyeda Aisha market and was supplying them to a friend of
his in Jordan.
The paper did not say what the friend wanted them for. - Sapa-AFP
