Two men arrested with cycads

East London - Two men were arrested on Saturday after they were found to be in possession of 13 big and three small cycads near a farm in East
London, police reported on Sunday.
Superintendent Eddie Watson said patrols were near the Kei bridge in East London when they noticed two men busy loading a bakkie.
On investigation, they were found to be in possession of cycads without a permit.
Watson said they were arrested at the scene and they are both from East London. The bakkie and its contents were also confiscated.
The value of the cycads is R40 000.
He said the men were expected to appear in court soon. - Sapa
